CAN/ULC-S1001 Services
- Integrated Testing Coordination: Our certified ITCs, knowledgeable in fire protection and life safety systems, develop and execute tailored Integrated Testing Plans (ITPs) to verify system interconnections function as designed, per CAN/ULC-S1001 requirements.
- Planning and Documentation: We collaborate with design professionals (engineers, architects, and contractors) to review system integrations, prepare detailed ITPs, and provide comprehensive Integrated Testing Reports, including test plans, results, and compliance documentation for Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
- Testing and Verification: We conduct in-situ testing to confirm operational and situational integration between systems (e.g., fire alarms, sprinklers, elevators, HVAC) after individual system commissioning, identifying and resolving deficiencies to ensure reliable performance.
- Compliance and Certification: As a UL-listed provider, we issue ULC certificates for successful tests, ensuring compliance with the National Building Code (NBC), National Fire Code (NFC), and Ontario Building Code (OBC) requirements. Note: We do not perform CAN/ULC-S537 fire alarm verifications on the same project to maintain compliance.
- Periodic Testing: We support ongoing compliance with CAN/ULC-S1001 Section 8, conducting re-evaluations one year after initial testing and every five years thereafter to maintain system reliability.
